My mini-collection of stories, Where You Lived, is out now on the Kindle and will be live on the Nook any minute now, so, in honor of the high holy days, the surprising play of the Oakland Raiders, Hope Solo appearing each week on my TV in a bare midriff and, you know, my desire to have you read my short fiction, I'm holding a contest to give away five free copies of my ebook.
Your job: Tell me about your first kiss. The best (which usually means most mortifying) story earns a copy of Where You Lived in whichever e-platform they choose.
You can leave your comment here, message me on Twitter, or contact me on Facebook by October 1st. Good luck!

A mutual friend had been plotting this moment for days. My "girlfriend's" bat mitzvah was winding down and my girlfriend and I were corralled into a corner of the reception hall. A group of friends gathered and we were ordered to kiss. There was much blushing and many nervous giggles but there was no way out of the situation.
A quick peck, a cheer from the crowd and it was back to the dance floor for the last slow dance of the evening.
