You're going to love FAKE LIAR CHEAT by Stephanie Meyer.

Any chance on getting east of the Mississippi for book signing in 2009?

Tod Goldberg

Yes, either in July or in November, I'd wager.

Philippa Connors

So what did you think about the Frederick Hitz spy book, Tod? It sounds interesting...

I am thrilled to hear that you are headed east for book signings this summer and/or fall! Methinks I need to get cracking on reading all of your books before then, so when I meet you I won't have made up numerous clever fake reviews of 'em. [laughs] And I LOVED those "pretend" book reviews of yours, by the way. That Salman Rushdie one - "I am humbled by his frailty. Like scrimshaw, but even smaller, sharper." LOL!!!!! Awwww, Tod. We love you, man!! I hope this note finds you well and good and that the new year is a happy one. Look forward to seeing you in 2009 at a book signing!

I thought Frederick Hitz book was very interesting. Lots of interesting things on how modern spying works or doesn't. It's pretty dry stuff, so I wouldn't say run out and buy it, but from a research standpoint, it was very worthwhile.

Was it something I said?

Happy New Year, at any rate.
